You get to see 8 of Monet’s Water Lilies here and they are magical. Each painting depicts water lilies, clouds, and willow trees. It’s fascinating to see Monet’s swirling brush strokes and his impressions of lilies.

It’s also eye-opening to see the colours he employed and how it all adds to the dreaminess of his painting style. **Buy tickets for timed-entry** or else you’ll have to wait in line. You’ll also get to see works by Renoir, Matisse, and Picasso here.

Bucket-list checked! It was a dream to see the Louvre in person. The great glass pyramid (the main entrance to the museum) was completed in 1989 and designed by renowned Chinese-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei. It lets you beautiful light that floods the entire main entrance to the museum. The perfect spot for portraits.

Some highlights to check out while you're there:
1. Venus de Milo
2. Nike (Goddess of Samothrace)
3. The Mona Lisa (of course!)
4. The Coronation of Napoleon
and a whole lots of more if you got weeks to spend inside the museum .

Buy a skip-the-line tour if you're on a tight schedule. Don't try to line up or you could waste precious hours just waiting outside.

🍴 Chef Fédéric Anton runs the 3 Michelin-star restaurant of le Pré Catelan in the Bois du Boulogne neighbourhood where, after showcasing his talents, he finally gets to realize his dream of running a fine, but un-stuffy bistro.

This place is a treat for refined, bistro French food where the chef has found a happy medium between upscale and hearty. The setting is whimsy with copper pots hanging on the walls, framed silver lids, and hunting-lodge style chandeliers. It’s another hidden gem that requires a taxi to get to, but well worth the effort. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a balance between sumptuous and cozy dining that’s outside of downtown Paris.

2. ris de veau with Madeira sauce (sweetbreads)
